Our usual tradition of heading to Austin to spend New Years with our college buddies was foiled this year by work! Rocky had to work on New Year's Eve and he didn't get off until around 6:30 pm. That was just too late to head to Austin, so we had to miss out this year. Luckily, we had another party to head to so we would not have to sit at home for New Years. We went over to Deric and Lygia's house to spend the evening with some of our friends from Sunday School. We had a great evening full of laughs and good food- what more could you ask for out of New Years? We even toasted the New Year with real champagne (I had sparkling cider, don't worry)- ooooh, a BAPTIST church function- naughty!! It was a great way to ring in the New Year- but don't worry, we all headed home to bed right after our toast- we are cool enough to stay up but the party ends at midnight!
