Happy Halloween from the movie snack bar!

We had a super fun Halloween this year!  The funny thing is that the more things your children get involved in, the more it becomes like Halloween week instead of Halloween day.  So, here are all the festivities we enjoyed!  Our first activity and debut of our costumes was the St. Johns Halloween carnival. 

Brinley was a Cotton Candy Princess.  She was on board 100% because it had princess and pink involved. 

Cason was my Popcorn.  He was a little unsure of all this ruffly stuff around his neck for a while and the hat was only on for a few minutes, but for the most part he rocked his costume!

The carnival was full of traditional games, lots of candy, and all of Brinley's friends from school.

 She especially enjoyed the inflatables outside.  Here she is with her friend Cinderella Paige.

They had a little gated off "tot spot" area for littles that Cason enjoyed too.

Each of the kids had dress up days at school and their weekday activities.  Cason went to his class as a soccer player because I didn't want him to mess up his costume with a day at school!

He went with his class to their little fall fest and had fun with his class. 

 

 He has the sweetest teachers ever!

Brinley's school had a costume parade up and down the halls of the school and through the gym.  It was cute to see all the costumes of her friends at school.

Her class party was a few days before that and she had lots of fun making spider hats,

 

hearing a fun Halloween story,

and playing a "wrap the mummy" game with toilet paper.  She and Elizabeth had a blast with this and actually won!

For ballet this week the girls were allowed to dress up but we decided that Brinley's cotton candy tutu was not conducive to real dancing so we came up with an on the fly Fancy Nancy costume.  I think she looked adorable!

Her class put on a little dance to "Flying Purple People Eater" for the parents at the end of practice that day.  Super cute.

 On Wednesday before Halloween our church had a Fall Fest out in the parking lot.  They had lots of trunk or treat games, hot dogs, train rides, and bounce houses. 

 It was fun to fellowship with our church family!

We had our annual pumpkin carving like we always do, but this year we carved with our neighbours, the Stephensons.  Rocky and Megan were definitely the go getters on this project.

Brinley and Sutton painted their pumpkins.  We are so thankful for sweet neighbors like them!

The actual Halloween night was a little anti climatic for me.  I was kinda done with all the dressing up and stuff, but I am glad I pushed through it because we had a great night!  The Walkers came over to partake of the festivities since they weren't moved into their house yet and didn't really have a neighborhood.  Miss Emme was the cutest little zoo keeper I ever did see!

 Papa also came over for a few minutes to see the kids costumes and bring some treats.

 Cason was not wanting to wear his hat, so Papa did!  haha

Our neighborhood had a hayride for the kids to trick or treat.

This was such a fun way to trick or treat!  I hope it will be a tradition we carry on for many years to come.

After trick or treating we spent the rest of the evening in our driveway eating candy apples and handing out candy to maybe like 1 trick or treater from another neighborhood.  By this time I was too tired to take pictures and thoroughly done celebrating Halloween!
