Friends Forever

Since we were heading to the metroplex for Cason's Sip N See anyway, we decided to make a really long weekend of it and spenda few days with our besties Ava and Vaughanie!  These girls hit it off immediately playing princess dress up, dancing, and coming up with all kinds of make believe scenarios.  It was like they had never been apart.
We watched Sofia the First during a break in the playing.  Cute movie, by the way!
All in all the girls got along so well all weekend.  They shared and compromised and all those things we have been trying to teach them all along.  It was a precious thing to watch such sweet girls playing.

I love these little princesses!
For the most part, we just hung out like old times.  It was wonderful.  Took a walk to the park to play.
Sweet Connor loved the swing.  I can't wait for the day that he and Cason are in on the playing!  Right now they seem worlds apart but I know they will soon be great buddies!
And of course no trip to see Ava would be complete without a trip to Tappys!
It was Cason's first visit and he approved.  :0)
We also had to have a twinkie twin photo shoot!  My poor little Miss doesn't have a posing bone in her body.  Modeling probably isn't on the docket for the Brinsters.  But Ava sure can work it!
We bought the matching shirts and Vaughanie got matching silver sparkly shoes.  And we didn't even plan it!  We knew what our girls would love.
Vaughanie was the perfect hostess and so gracious to let us take over her house.  She got some good Cason lovin' in.  He was enamored by her beauty...but who isn't?! :0)
We stayed at the Seamans on Wednesday and Thursday night then headed over the Warminskis on Friday night.  I didn't take any pics playing at their house because we weren't really there very much!  Rebekah decided to have Simon's bday party on Saturday evening.  So we were all there for most of the evening and just came home to crash.  The kids had a blast at the party.  Brinley loves her some Henry....

and the birthday boy Simon!  I mean seriously, how cute is this pic Rebekah took of him?!
Rebekah did an adorable little polar bear theme.  She served delicious chili with all the fixings then planned a polar bear hunt for the kids complete with flashlights.
Brinley was completely on task...ha!
They searched for the bear
then found it and busted it to smithereens.  It was Brinley's first time with a pinata!
We went to VRBC on Sunday and had a wonderful morning hugging, catching up, and worshipping with our dear friends there.  It was such a sweet time.  Even though my time in DFW was such a blast and I loved every minute spending time with our old friends there, driving back to Abilene felt like coming home.   That was a really good feeling.  It's good to know that no matter how far apart we may be, we will remain forever friends.  We are so blessed!
