We had our annual HSU New Years weekend for the 8th year in a row!
We had a bit of a smaller crowd this year, but it was no less fun! We spent most of our time just hanging out at Jared and Haley's house, letting the kids play, and reminsicing or catching up on each other's lives. Brinley LOVED Katelyn and Adelyn and they played so well together.
There was lots of swinging and playing outside in the gorgeous weather.
And Katelyn showed Brinley how to play her new computer game, Charlie Church Mouse.
Brinley would do just about anything Katelyn said to do and they got along great. It made parenting so easy because they entertained one another and had a blast!
We tried fireworks again this year, and Brinley loved them.
She thought the sparklers were so neat and she even enjoyed the larger fireworks that Jared set off. I was pleasantly surprised by her lack of fear!
Thanks to Haley's sister and early bedtimes for the kiddos, we were able to go out on NYE for a nice dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse and a stroll down 6th street. Seriously, that was the craziest place I have ever been and definitely had some great people watching opportunities.
Also during the weekend, the guys snuck away for a fierce game of paintball. Aren't they intimidating?!
And the girls slipped away for a nice lunch at La Madeline to welcome Baby Kress.
He is due to arrive in February and we are so happy for Ben and Ashlee!
Haley is actually due with a little boy just a few days after Ashlee! Number 3 for the Hughes family!
Can't wait to meet him!

Brinley's hair has gotten so long! We love the Charlie Church Mouse computer games by the way.=)
