Christmas Day 2011

We started off Christmas morning with a wonderful service at our church. There was no childcare so all the kids were included. I loved sitting with Brinley and Rocky, singing praises to our Savior, and remembering the reason why we celebrate. I honestly wish every Christmas Day was a Sunday!
After church, we went over to Memo and Pops house in Ft. Worth.
Almost all of the Anderson clan was there and we had a great day!
Brinley loves her cousins very much. They are all actually my cousins but they are much closer to Brinley's age and she enjoys all their attention.
Elizabeth, Holley, and Pryse
Emily, Andrew, and Austin. They live in Thailand so the next time we see them, Brinley will be 5!! It was so good to spend time with them this year. The kids exchanged names, so everyone opened a gift, or should I say, Brinley opened everyone's gifts! She got some Lego Duplos and they tore right into them and started playing!
Uncle John and KK got Brinley some "snow" that you add water to and it feels like the real thing. A fun little science project for all!
The adults did a gift exchange as well but in a white elephant format- each adult brought a gift then we swapped them around. David ended up with the most coveted gift- a nice robe. He is probably going to need it now that he lives in chilly Chicago! We finished up our night playing, eating, and just enjoying one another's company. Brinley was up much later than usual but she was happy as a clam the entire time playing with her cousins. She had a special connection with Austin. They chased, played legos, and played hide and seek. He pulled out these magnetic building toys and they played quietly for 30 minutes or more. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful loving family to share our Christmas Day!
