Uncle Dave arrived and went for a little jog to keep things loose. When he got back he laid down and started stretching and Brin laid down and started copying him. It was so cute!
That night, we went to dinner at a local italian restaurant so Uncle David could get his carb load on... and so we could go ahead and have a carb load as well...you know, to show our support!
We were up bright and early Sunday morning to watch David run by at mile 5. Brinley was less than thrilled with the 40 degree temperature...but Baby looks happy to be there!
Family bonding!
We almost missed Dave when he ran by because he had already shed some layers of clothing. Glad I was a quick draw with my camera and got this shot of him. He barely even seemed phased by the mile 5!
We hurried from mile 5 to the finish line at Fair Park so we could catch him crossing. We cheered him on as he crossed the line at 1:30:06. That's amazing for a half marathon! He actually ended up finishing in 1 hour and 27 minutes and got 80th overall. We were so proud of him!
After the race, we came home and had some lunch then hurried off to our neighbor Maddox's first birthday party.
