Our third day at Disney was at Epcot. We decided to go against the popular vote and spend an entire day there. These two were excited for another day of fun!
The first thing we saw as we walked in the park was the iconic ball. I will let you guess who was the most enthralled with this...
Cason! He just kept saying ball, ball, ball every time he got a glimpse. And that was a lot!
Our first stop was Mr. Ray's Lagoon and Turtle Talk with Crush.
Next stop was to meet "Casual Belle" on the streets of Norway. She was very sweet.
There were other princesses at Epcot but we didn't want to wait in the long lines so I took some snapshots as we passed. Here is Mulan.
And here are the infamous Frozen sisters- Anna and Elsa. the wait time was 2 hours and Brinley had not yet seen the movie or caught the Frozen fever, so we just avoided it all together.
We were very excited to meet Mary Poppins on the streets of Britain. Hence the hand in the mouth.
She was a spot on MP, probably one of the best character actors we saw the entire time we were there.
The kids fell asleep not long after so we just walked through the countries and enjoyed the slower paced day. When they woke we were all ready for a snack so we headed to Mexico! We had paletas (popsicles) and
Churros as our dessert. We bought the Disney dining plan so every meal came with dessert. No one really complained about this too much!
My friend Mauri from our UTSW days happened to be at Epcot that day with one of her friends. They were living in Florida at the time for another leg of their training and made day trips to Disney often. When she saw my facebook post about our vacation she messaged me and we scheduled a time to meet up. It was so good to see her after all these years!
The Walkers had gone to Animal Kingdom that morning but came over to Epcot to meet us for the afternoon. We decided to eat dinner in Japan and they had these awesome tribal drummers.
The girls started really feeling the beat and got their groove on.
I haven't laughed at something this hard in a long time!

After some more strolling we took a break in France at the pattiserie.
A chocolate torte and lemon torte did not disappoint!

That night the Walkers bid us adieu but we decided to be crazy and stay around for the fireworks show. We had heard great things.
We got a great spot then had to sit and wait in it for about an hour. The kids were wacko but they were having a lot of fun.
Once the fireworks started Cason wasn't sure whether to be amazed or terrified. Terrified won out more often than not. It was his first experience with fireworks, and these weren't your run of the mill fireworks.
It was a gorgeous show! After we were done we took our troops straight back to the hotel to bed. It was the perfect way for our family to spend the day!
