Our morning really started the way all good ranch mornings start- on the porch. We were so glad to have all the Daddies present and accounted for!
I had to include this picture to show Paul, the newest kiddo of the bunch. This is the only picture I have of the little guy! He is in that newborn phase- eat, sleep, and poop. Needless to say he wasn't posing for many pictures. We were so glad to meet Warminski #3!
Cason had a special love of Henry. I mean really, though, who doesn't?! He could always get some belly laughs from the little man.The fake worms were pretty popular too.
Mikey made the big catch of the day- on the princess fishing pole! Way to go Mikey!
After our fishing time, we Mommies decided that we needed to jump on the photo opp before the day got away from us. We have always loved matching our kids outfits and it kinda happened by accident this time. I bought this dress for Brinley and noticed in a picture that Ava had the same one. I told Vaughanie that we should get one like it for Bekah just so they could all have the same dress even though they are in different towns. Vaughanie told me that Rebekah had bought the same dress for Margaret, so we notified Meagan to snag one for Audrey, and voila! A cutie patootie matching outfit photo opp for our girlies!
Here's a little behind the scenes. Behind every cute smile is a fruit snack bribe and a crazed Mom singing songs and jumping around like a crazy person. Hey, it's worth it!
We decided to get a little artsy and try for a walking pic. After many fails, we got this pretty decent one.
Then we added the boys as anchors, even though they didn't match. haha
Our next activity was riding horses.
Brinley was all over it and had no fear.
While we were riding horses, Art and Judy, the couple that lives on the ranch and helps take care of it, offered to make up a hay ride for us that evening. We always take a ride around dusk but we are starting to outgrow the mules, so this was the perfect solution. Picture time again! Do we not have the most gorgeous children?!
Please pardon this interruption from your regularly scheduled blog post for a little close up. Yes, that would be Margaret Gray licking my son's head. Yep. With Brinley supervising every move. Love it.
Now back to business. Family pic! It got really warm that afternoon and I ran completely out of pretty, so please pardon my husband's t-shirt and my greasy ponytail...
And this little unhappy fella didn't help my cause any bit. He was not a huge fan of the hay ride.
But of course, leave it to Rocky to save the day with some
Everyone was losing steam by this point in the day, but there was more fun to be had! So, a little rejuvenation with some GranMommy storytime was just the ticket.
That evening we had our birthday party for all the spring birthday boys and girls- Henry, Audrey, Ava, and Bekah. They blew candles out on marshmallows then we enjoyed smores.
The next morning we packed up to leave. Nora made a brunch for us and the kids finally got to enjoy the pinata. They were such eager beavers about it!
We had another awesome year at the ranch and we are more grateful than ever for God's provision on us and our amazing friends!
