This was the Daddies first time on the beach and the kids loved playing with them
It didn't take long for Rocky to get right on building that sandcastle.
Then Meagan, Jenny, and the kids decided to show him up with a sand castle fortress!
Even though Brinley had been enjoying the beach, she still hadn't made it much farther in than ankle deep. Mrs. Jenny decided to change that! Brinley happily ran in the water with she and Bekah. Nothing like a little positive peer pressure!
Sweet friends!
She loved the water!!
Rocky had been looking forward to throwing the frisbee and went to buy one especially for his beach day. About a minute in to his game with Zack, they got booted off our hotel beach to the neighboring public beach. Who knew no frisbees were allowed?
Naps ran a little long that day, so when everyone woke up and got cleaned up, we headed to nearby Boca Raton to walk around a nice shopping center and have some dinner. We tried so hard to get a good group shot....but you know how it goes!
I love that Audrey, the youngest of all the kids, is the only one smiling and looking at the camera each time. I guess she is too young to realize that this subtle form of defiance and torture to your parents is fun.
After dinner we stopped in to a super cute local ice cream and candy shop. The kids were in heaven- and acting like wild animals the entire time!
Again, positive peer pressure helped and Brinley made her way off the step and tried her hand at the crab walk.
It took her a while, but she eventually loved the pool and didn't want to get out!
Eventually, Brinley got so brave (and watched Audrey enough times) that she started jumping off the side! I was shocked but so glad that she and Rocky were having so much fun.
We had planned to hit the beach one last time, but since the weather wasn't looking promising, we decided to just take a walk instead. Brin loved chasing the pigeons,
And chasing Daddy or writing in the sand with her foot.
That night we ate at a local fish restaurant that had been featured on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives called The Whale Rib. It was really good, fried, and filling! We ended our night with Veggie Tales in our room before an early bed time for everyone.
