Heart Day 2012

This Valentines Day was a special one for sure! We started our day with a Valentine's playdate at the Warminski's. Witten and Helen Hartzler were in town for Sari to work at her old florist for the week, so it was so fun to get to play with them too! We each contributed a little to make it a very fun morning for our kiddos. It started with a couple of Valentine's books read by Mrs. Seamans.
Then the kids used their creativity to make their own valentine. We then had a muffin tin lunch of strawberry yogurt, strawberries, heart shaped brownies, heart shaped pb&j's, tomatoes and cucumbers, and a cheesestick. All the items were a big hit!
The kids took a break to watch a movie in Luke's room. Isn't it cute how they are all lined up on the bed watching intently? Ava was there too but left before I could grab my camera.
Before we left we exchanged valentines. Brinley's theme this year was orange and the sticker said, "orange you glad we're friends?" Everyone got cuties and tic-tacs but the girls got chapstick and the boys got orange spikey balls.
We love our friends so much and had a great time celebrating! That evening Brinley and I took charge of a Valentine's Day dinner for Daddy. We got a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's.
Nan and Dee provided dessert by sending us an edible arrangement of chocolate covered fruits. Thanks!! I will let you decide which part was Brinley's favorite. That's a very sad little naked apple slice that was left on her plate.
We rounded off dinner with Valentines for Daddy. We love him so much!I hope you felt the love this year as much as we did!
