Rocky took a little vacation time this week so we made a family trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo. We have been so busy lately that it was so fun to spend the day just as our little family of 3.
Brinley loved all the animals, but her almost 2 year old, impulsive, dramatic toddler self cried almost every time we left one animal to go on to the next. She didn't understand the fun that was coming her way! Oh my.
We watched the monkeys for a while, they are Rocky's favorite.

My favorites are the giraffes. So pretty.

We got up close and personal with this white tiger.

Then we took a little break and had lunch by the bird cages.

Then we made our way to the MOLA (Museum of Living Art). That was a really neat place. Brinley loved being at eye level with the large turtles and fish.
And Rocky made a connection with the snakes.
Komodo dragon photo opp!
It was nearing the end of our time, and naptime was drawing near, so up on the shoulders we went!

Hey, it's you, Daddy!
Kisses!

We made one last stop back by the monkey because the view from up here is so much better!

Here's to a day of much needed family fun!
